LONG TIME NO SEE....

So I'm sorry to post another video clip again, but I was watching Oprah today and they showed this clip about a lion named Christian and a couple of Australian guys who used to take care of him. I thought it was really something special. In case you haven't seen it, I just had to share it. It speaks for itself....

I, for one, was really surprised that this was the outcome because really and truly, anything could've happened! Such a great message at the end too:)

I saw this too and found it very touching. Animals can't lie, so to see the physical connection between the old keepers and the now wild cat says a lot about the meaning of true friendship and love. No matter how much time lapses, or the physical distance you are from a loved one, the two of you can always pick up where you started. Mutual love can't be mistaken!!!

I've seen a similiar situation play out with a bear cub who was years later reintroduced to the man who captured him as a stray.

It's always cool to see this type of reaction from wild animals when they joined with a person of the past.

Gina: You're so right. I definitely know what you're talking about. Just as the lions showed, true love and friendship always stands the test of time, distance, and misunderstanding and it's a beautiful thing when you are able to reconnect with someone. Makes life really worthwhile:)

Marcus: Hey Marcus, I really thought this was cool too, cause you just couldn't be too sure what was gonna happen!

Wow! That is really powerful. It truly shows the bond that love has over us.

Great video!

I think the lion was appropriately named, huh? "Christian." What's TRULY amazing about this story is that his WIFE allowed the humans to touch her, or get anywhere near her! It didn't strike me that she was a wild lion at all. There's no way a female lion running the Serengeti gets that close to a human without trying to make him/her brunch, regardless of what the lazy king lion does. That's the part I'm really perplexed over. Nobody else thinks that's odd?

You know 'Nupe I really did think the same thing about the female lion. How come she was so laidback? It is just an amazing piece of video all around, on so many levels!!
