I've competed in the Olympic Games 5 times. My experiences are immeasurable, my regrets are few....and I wouldn't trade them for all the world!

YES HE DID!!!!!!!
Congratulations to President-Elect Barack Obama!!!! I need say no more! I pray for God's blessings on him and his family. To all the men and women who died so that this day might be possible, I say thank you. We honour you!! It is a glorious day in the USA!!!
Yes we can! Yes we did! Yes we will! What a great day to be an American! To see history change and to know that the future will be forever better for my children.
Man, all the black folks--strangers even--were chest bumpin' and whatnot on the subway this morning. Just kidding, but it's halfway what I expected to experience on my way to work. Maybe I shoulda gotten it going.
I was all verklempt last night.
Now the real work begins, and, yes, prayer for this brother and his lovely family is gonna be critical. Maybe we'll invite him to church here in D.C. one Sunday, even though he ain't Baptist.
It's weird how not a soul in the office has mentioned the election results out loud today. There's only three "coloreds," and we all fist bumped calmly and surreptitiously first thing in the a.m. I think the white people don't exactly know what to say to us: "Do we congratulate them, or would that be hoky and condescending? I wonder if they're gonna want those reparations now?!"
Someone added this to the front of your quote of the day from a few days ago, by the way: "Crispus Attucks fell so that..."
I am a professional long jumper by day and an interior designing, TV watching, internet surfing girl by night. Always learning, always loving, always caring...
