So I am going to be meeting some new people this evening and I know that the typical track questions are going to come up and I will be left unsure about one of my answers. Here is an old post of mine that I had written when I first started blogging and I was querying something that has impacted one of my Olympic results from back in 2000 and I am now never sure what to say. I have been thinking about it again recently and so I thought I would repost it and try to get some more feedback...Let me know what you think. Click on the link below:

I think that since the medals have been redistributed (or at least they would have if the silver medalist wasn't shady as well) then you move up as well. Otherwise there would be blank spots!
verey very pretty you are...
Why am I NOT one of these people you're meeting?
Just as well...I wouldn't know what to ask...no wait yes I do; not much about Track though.
Hey!
e.
I would definitely move up my status.
I do understand to a degree where you are coming from. Even though I am not currently making a living off of my writing, I sometimes feel a funny way when folks as me what I do and I tell them that I am a writer. No, I my novel isn't published yet, that still doesn't negate what I do.
I didn't know your father was a pastor too. Gotta love being a preacher's daughter:)
I would have to agree with Brianna, you move up...your accomplishments alone to get to the Olympics is a worthy feat...how many other millions of athletes never make it there!
Hey Jackie,
I had/have the same situation. I finished 4th at European Indoors back in 2000. Turns out about 5 months later the Russian bird who won, well, she went and tested positive. Upon hearing the news, I assumed a bronze medal was coming my way. I contacted my Federation to get on the case, but I think the IAAF intimidates my small country, cos as far as I know, they did nada about it. And the results still have me as 4th. But now that I think of it, its probaly not quite the same as your situation. I mean the average person never asks "Did you ever medal at the European Indoors back in 2000?" No, its always the classic Olympic question. So I say got for it, say you were 6th and send those Olympic suits a strongly worded letter to amend the results.
Pretty helpful info, lots of thanks for this article.
